It's Official! We're Farmers!
Today I purchased and erected our raised garden bed to plant out our corn seedlings. Six in total and looking quite healthy (so far!). I also planted out some oregano, chives and Italian parsley. The girls helped me fill the box with soil, dig the holes, spread out some fetiliser and water in our new charges. I have placed the box in the highest part of the garden, which also gets the most sun. I might have to build a small fence around it, as Lucy thinks it's another snadpit and has already taken to it with her spade!Dispite this, I am hoping they will do well and in a few weeks we will be munching on sweet, juicy home-grown corn!!
